Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004)
Li Zhengtai (Zhang Dongjian is acted the role of) is a shoemaker who lives in Seoul, the family's livelihood is maintained from the cost of mending shoes. Although the material is not rich, this is a very warm and complete family. His wife, Li Yingshun (Lee Eun-Ju), runs a noodle shop with his mother, and usually takes care of his brothers and sisters below. His younger brother Li Zhenxi (Yuan Bin) is all the hope in the family. Now he is in high school, and it is his dream to be admitted to college. It is also the sustenance of his brother Zhentai. However, with the sudden outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, the quiet life was quickly disrupted. As the war spread to Seoul, Zhentai decided to take his family to Daegu to avoid the war. But in the middle, they were forcibly recruited into the army and boarded the train to the front of the Luodong River. The family has been falling apart ever since. On the battlefield, Zhen Tai had only one wish: he was desperate to protect his brother with his life. When he heard that his brother could be exempted from service as long as he won the national medal, he rushed like a madman at the forefront of the battle. However, with the cruel battlefield and the fate of people, the trajectory of their lives has inevitably changed.
