Also known as "Mount Tai, the savage", it was the first Mount Tai film shot in the era of audio films. The hero is Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller, who created a sensation in the 1930s by pairing with Jane, played by Maureen O'Sullivan. The plot depicts an English girl Jane, together with her father and boyfriend, goes to Africa to find the tomb of an elephant. On the way, Jane screamed when she was in danger and was swung out of the trees by Mount Tai and saved her to the top of the tree. From then on, Jane couldn't help falling in love with Mount Tai. Later, Jane and his party were captured by savage dwarves and almost became a snack for chimpanzees, but fortunately they were rescued by a herd of elephants led by Mount Tai. Director W.S. Dijk shows the unfettered atmosphere of primitive life quite fascinating, and the coordination between the location and the scene in the forest can be almost realistic. Due to the commercial success of this film at that time, the leading actor and heroine made a total of six Taishan films.
