Hulu has officially booked the real crime poetry drama "The Act," which is created by Nick Antosca ("Channel Zero") and Michelle Dean and directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre in its first season. Each season of the show will focus on a special case. The first season will be adapted from Michelle Dean's real story article "Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom To Be Murdered" published on Buzzfeed, which tells a 48-year-old single mother Dee Dee Blanchard that her daughter Gypsy suffers from a variety of serious diseases (such as brain damage, leukemia, asthma, etc.), but in fact, no one knows that Gypsy is a perfectly healthy adult. Later, Dee Dee was stabbed to death, and her neighbors, relatives and police found that it was.
