In the 1940s and 1950s, the US government released a series of promotional films aimed at convincing the American people that the atomic bomb did not pose a threat to their lives. This film is an anthology of these promotional films. The whole "Atomic Cafe" can be said to be a collection of lies told by the US government to the people about the atomic bomb. Now, it seems that the ignorance and foolishness of the government make people laugh on the one hand, and remind the audience on the other hand not to rely too much on official statements.
