This film tells the story of Mrs. Browning, a famous British poet, who met and fell in love with her husband. Elizabeth Barrett (Naomahira) has been trapped in her room because of a leg disease. Her father's severity and illness make her lose interest in life and only hope that she will enter the arms of death as soon as possible. One day, the young poet Robert Browning (Frederick March), who had been dealing with her letters, suddenly came to visit, and they hit it off and quickly had a great affection for both sides. Elizabeth also rekindled hope that her leg disease began to improve gradually, and finally she was able to walk freely, and her relationship with Robert became stronger and stronger, but when everything was going well. Elizabeth's father began to intervene and told Elizabeth that she could not leave the house for the rest of her life.
