This film is a comedy for middle school students that John Hughes and Molly Ringwald collaborated again after "15 hours of Girls". It depicts five rebellious boys and girls who are sentenced to stay in school to review their lessons during the holidays. The five people had different family backgrounds and personalities, but after they had a sincere conversation, they gradually let go of each other's wariness and hostility and became close friends. The whole film has a quite in-depth and exquisite description of the mentality of young people, the technique is relaxed and humorous and enlightening, it is easy to resonate with young audiences, and a group of rookie actors also perform appropriately.
