Mickey (Greg Kinnear Greg Kinnear) is an insurance salesman, with his invincible tongue, Mickey quickly laid a solid foundation for himself in the industry, it is clear that the current small profits have not been able to meet Mickey's growing appetite, he is actively looking for opportunities to take him to the sky. In order to escape the cold weather in the north, Mickey goes south to return to his long-lost wife Joanne (Li Thompson Lea Thompson). To his surprise, Mickey unexpectedly sees the dawn of his future. Retired farmer Hal (Alan Arkin Alan Arkin) becomes a stepping stone to Mickey's climb, while the appearance of Randy the locksmith (Billy Crudup Billy Crudup) unexpectedly disrupts Mickey's calculation, and over time, Mickey finds that he can no longer support the lies he has made up.
