One day, strange phenomena appeared one after another around the world: patients with pacemakers died suddenly, pigeons lost their way, the Golden Gate Bridge broke, and the Roman Colosseum was hit by intense lightning. For a time, mankind fell into an unprecedented panic, as if the terrible end of the world was just around the corner. Governments and armed forces of various countries have urgently mobilized to find out the cause of this series of disasters. At this critical moment, geophysicist Josh case (Alan Eckhardt Aaron Eckhart) discovers the truth that the earth's core stops rotating for some unknown reason, causing the magnetic field to disappear. In order to save mankind and the planet, Josh and Rebecca Chad (Hilary Swank Hilary Swank), Robert Iverson (Bruce Greenwood Bruce Greenwood) and other experts form a rescue team to carry out a difficult and dangerous rescue mission to the center of the earth. The fate of mankind is in danger.
