David Seznik, a big producer, had tailored the show for his star wife, Jennifer Jones, to give her a taste of the movie, but Jennifer Jones announced that she was pregnant before filming, so she had to change roles before shooting. Kelly got this good opportunity to show her acting skills, and went all out to make her bright and gorgeous appearance look like a dirty aged woman to match the role. In the film, she is the wife of hapless actor Ping Crosby, a timid country girl who tries to cheat her husband up on the one hand and has an affair with Wei and Horton, a young doctor who helps her husband stop drinking on the other. Triangle exercises cause great contradictions in their hearts. Coincidentally in real life, Ping Crosby and William Horton are also making every effort to pursue Kelly, making it inextricable. Maybe Kelly can't tell the difference between the top and bottom of the screen, so she is very emotionally involved. She knocked out a lot of money at the age of 26.
