The Crying Game (1992)

The story takes place during the Northern Ireland War of Independence. British soldier Jody (Forrest Whitaker Forest Whitaker) is kidnapped in Armah by the IRA, who attempts to exchange him for captives held by the British. Guarding Jody is Fergus (Stephen Rui Stephen Rea). His heart feels lost and helpless about killing and war. He feels compassion and sympathy for what happened to Jody. They become good friends. In the end, the Republican Army did not get prisoners. Fergus was asked to execute Jody. Fergus secretly let him go. Before leaving, Jody gave Fergus a picture of his girlfriend Dill and told Fergus that he could go to London to find his girlfriend Dill. Unexpectedly, when Jody escaped, he was accidentally run over and killed by an attacking British tank. Fergus, who was tired of the war, fled to London under the pseudonym Jimmy. He found Deere in London and was fascinated by her, but later found her as a man in a hotel. At this time, the IRA heard that they had sentenced Fergus to death, and they asked Fergus to go on a mission to die together!
