Twenty years ago, the powerful Roman Empire sent a Roman Ninth Legion of 5000 elite troops, but mysteriously disappeared in the Scottish Highlands. Marcus, the son of the leader of the Ninth Legion (Channing Tatum Channing Tatum), is brave and good at fighting, leading troops to the front. Because he was seriously injured in a war, he had to recuperate in his uncle's home. During the recovery period, Marcus saves a slave Esko (Jamie Bell Jamie Bell) in the Colosseum and takes him as a servant. Soon after, Marcus heard that someone in a tribe in the north had found the eagle his father had lost. Determined to win back honor for his father, he was determined to go to the north to get it back. Marcus set out with Esko, who was familiar with the northern environment. On the way, the relationship between master and servant has experienced various ups and downs and mutual tests. Especially when they meet the ferocious Prince Hill (Taharahim Tahar Rahim), Marcus finds that Esko's identity is much more than just an ordinary slave. Who controls the scepter, and how did the Ninth Legion perish? The truth is becoming more complicated and confusing.
