The Eighth Day (1996)

God created the world in seven days. What did God do on the eighth day? God dedicated George George (Pascal Duquenne) is a patient with Down syndrome, living in a rehabilitation center, where he has a beautiful girlfriend, a group of similar friends, he can think of himself as a tree, think of himself as an ant, but there is something missing, he misses his mother, so he stands by the side of the road whistling, gives himself a direction, and sets out. Harry (Daniel Auteuil) works for a bank, leads a spinning professional life, and trains employees in the shell of a professional image every day, but is he happy? When he returned to his empty home, thinking that his ex-wife would take his two children away, he picked up his son's toy pistol and killed himself in the mirror. Once again missing the weekly meeting with the children, Harry was so haggard in the car that he nearly ran over George in the night. The guilty Harry tried to take George home, but George could not give an exact address.
