The story takes place in an ancient South American empire. The young king of the empire, Kuzco, was so vain that he decided to build a palace on a mountain near the imperial capital in order to celebrate his eighteenth birthday. The residents who have lived here for generations on the mountain were in trouble for a while, and the villager Pacha came to the palace to ask Kuzco to consider the situation of the local residents, but he was rebuffed by Kuzco. At the same time, the evil priestess Yzma is ready to poison and kill Kuzco to seize the throne, but her follower Kronk mistakenly gives the transformation medicine to Kuzco. So Kuzco became a mule and got on Pacha's car and went to the mountain village by mistake.
