The Flesh Eaters (1964)

This is a forgotten B-rated cult freak film. A pilot takes a Hollywood actress and her female assistant to Provingston and stops on a desolate island to escape the storm. there is a professor of marine biology on the island and some kind of carnivorous microbe brought by the storm. the professor of marine biology seems to have some connection with this carnivorous microbe, and as the truth is revealed. They will find that the microbe is some kind of secret biological weapon left over from former Nazi Germany. The screenplay was inspired by a real story about millions of dead fish washed ashore by red tides off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina in the 1950s. The director's funding for the film came from part of the 72000 yuan prize won by his wife in a TV quiz.
