This film is based on real events. After the lifting of the ethnic quarantine policy in South Africa, the official "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" was set up to find out the truth about the ethnic hatred incidents in South Africa. Archbishop Desmond, who serves as chairman of the committee, went to an armed guard prison to persuade a prisoner of ethnic discrimination, Pitt. In the process of negotiation, Desmond discovered that Pitt was a cunning criminal. He did not ask for the original sentence, but constantly challenged Desmond's faith and the bottom line of forgiveness. Desmond also questioned the possibility of forgiveness in the process.
