The Freshman (1925)

A rural young man who enrolls a metropolitan university because he hopes to become a college football team player hopes to be liked by others. He often bounced around the school and shook hands with people as he walked in a wonderful manner. But his pretentious actions aroused the resentment of his classmates and treated him like a nerd. But Harold didn't think much of it, but kept up his efforts and longed to become a popular lover one day. Seeing that he was stupid, Peggy, a girl who lived with him in the same apartment, kindly revealed to him the truth that his classmates deliberately dressed him in high hats and tricked him into paying for treats in order to take advantage of him. Harold was in low spirits when he heard her say this. But with Paige's encouragement, Harold picked himself up and joined the football club. Soon after, Harold's university had a match with rival Youning University, and Lloyd had to sit on the bench and worry. A key player was injured and fell to the ground with only three minutes to go before the end of the game. Harold can no longer sit still, volunteered to come out, unexpected, Harold's skills are very superb, running all over the court, desperate, and finally turned the team into victory. There were thunderous cheers when Harold fainted in Peggy's arms.
