The Garment Jungle (1957)
The story about the struggle of the International Union of Ladies Garment Workers (ILGWU) to set up Roxton Fashions, a New York T-shirt store in the clothing district. Lee J. Cobb plays Walter Mitchell, the boss of a company determined to shut out the union. His partner disagreed and only hoped that the workers would have living expenses. He died in an accident. Kevin Matthews (Kerwin Mathews) raised his son Alan, who returned to New York after a long absence. He did not understand his father's angry resistance to the union and sympathized with the union.
