Tom (Barry Sariwan Barry Sullivan) and Daisy (Betty Field Betty Field) are not happily married because Tom is a playboy and often hangs out. Tom often goes to dances with their neighbor Daisy's uncle Nick to have fun. Nick's neighbor Gatsby is a mysterious rich man. He often invites Nick to parties, and the two get to know each other very quickly. After getting to know each other, Gatsby (Alan Rudd Alan Ladd) invites Nick to come to his house with his niece Daisy. At this point, Daisy recognized Gatsby. It turned out that Gatsby was Daisy's lover five years ago, only because Gatsby was just a poor boy who went abroad to change his fate. Daisy married Tom at this time. The two soon fell in love again. At a party, Daisy quarreled with Tom again and killed Tom's mistress while driving home with Gatsby after drinking. For the sake of his former lover, Gatsby decided to come forward.
