The story describes millionaire Cecil Fox in order to test whether the three ex-mistresses are still loyal to him and deceive them that they are about to die, so the three go to Ford's house in Venice separately, only to find that the rich man is killed. The prank turns into an elaborate murder, and the plot turns to the road of who is the murderer. Stupid detectives and misleading clues bring some jokes, but more often it is a series of dialogue, so that the rhythm appears to be slow, the development of the plot is rather mysterious, the results are lower than expected.
