Grace (Scarlett Johansson Scarlett Johansson), the daughter of Annie (Kristen Scott Thomas Kristin Scott Thomas), likes to ride a horse, but she falls off the horse with a friend in an accident. Her friend is killed, and Grace breaks a leg. Her beloved horse "Pilgrim" is injured beyond recognition. Grace's heart was covered with a lingering haze. Mother was very anxious. Hearing that there is Tom (Robert Redford Robert Redford) who is proficient in horse language in Montana, Anne decides to take her daughter and the Pilgrim to heal. Tom refused at first, but was finally moved.
