The journalist, adapted from a hit feature film of the same name, was released in theaters in 2019 and has attracted a lot of attention for confronting political crimes and scandals in Japan in recent years. In the new series "the journalist", Ryoko Mikura ("Doctor X: surgeon Damon Keiko" and "Legal V ~ former lawyer Youxiangzi ~") plays the protagonist Kyoko Matsuda. Matsuda is a reporter for Toto Newspaper, known as the "maverick of the news media", dedicated to exposing the problems of modern Japanese society. The show is directed by Toshito Fujii.
