The story takes place in Romania in 1943, when German Colonel Ulmann (Jurgen Prosno J ü rgen Prochnow) leads his team stationed in a bunker in a small village. Terrible things happened, and the soldiers in the line died strangely one after another, obviously, it was a serial murder, because the killer left ancient and difficult words beside the body. In order to investigate the truth of the incident, Colonel Ulmann fished the Jewish historian Dr. Kula (Ian McClane Ian McKellen) out of the concentration camp and commissioned him to help him study the meaning of these mysterious words. Soon, Dr. Kula discovered that an ancient evil spirit lodged in a bunker and gained its energy by means of predators. Dr. Kula made a deal with the evil spirit that if the evil spirit could destroy Hitler's army, he would lift the seal on the evil spirit himself and set him free.
