The Killing (1956)
During his five years in prison, Johnny Corey (Sterling Hayden) comes up with a brilliant robbery plan. After he was released from prison, he gathered a group of illegal people to plan to rob the racecourse with a huge sum of US $2 million, and "no one was injured." However, a wise man is bound to make a mistake if he thinks a thousand things. Johnny's flawless plan was carried out smoothly, only to be carried out by his partner George (Elisha Co ok Jr. (acted the role of) wife Shelley (Marie Windsor) disturbs. When she learns about her husband's plan, she and her lover Wall (Vince Edwards) extend a greedy hand to the huge sum of money. The film is based on Lionel White's novel Clean Break, with Kubrick as a screenwriter and the famous novelist Jim Thompson to revise the dialogue.
