At midnight, a 767 airliner flying from Los Angeles to Boston suffered a crisis of cabin pressure and depression. Awakened from a deep sleep, Brian Engel (David Moss David Morse) is horrified to find that all the passengers and crew on the plane have disappeared, leaving only ten men, women and children who are also in danger. The "relics" left by those missing passengers remain intact, as if nothing had happened, but the nightmare has only just begun. At an altitude of 37000 feet, these surviving "survivors" put the last glimmer of hope on the ground, but completely lost contact. When they landed the plane, the dead ground made them even more frightened. There seems to be no change in the cities on land, but the desolate and uninhabited scene is shrouded in deep darkness as if they had never existed. In this no man's land, the air is frozen, the sound is distorted, and even the food is dull. Everyone was caught in a foreboding, at a loss, like a fish on the chopping block. Just then, a terrible voice was moving towards them step by step.
