The last comfort woman (2013)
The film tells the unfortunate experience of three young women from South Korea, Japan and China who were ravaged after being reduced to Japanese military comfort women. According to producer Zhang Baorong, when director Lin Rui was filming in Jilin, China, he came across an old Chinese woman who was a Japanese comfort woman at that time. The script of this film is adapted and artistically created on the basis of the old woman's oral memories. The old woman is dead now. The film is starring a new generation of Korean actors Han Jiaying, Kim Mei and Ley, in which Han Jiaying plays the Korean comfort woman, Japanese geisha-born Kyoko is played by Kim Mei, and Ley plays Dandan from China. Speaking of which, there is still a lot of fate between the roles of Ley and Dan. The sweet-looking Ley, whose mother is Chinese and her father is Japanese, is proficient in Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages, and has a nice and easy-to-remember Chinese name "Li Li". This makes her good at figuring out and grasping the roles and shaping the characters.
