The Last Kingdom (2015 - 2022)
In 872 AD, the divided British Empire was ravaged by the invading Vikings, leaving only the Wessex Kingdom ruled by Alfred the Great. In this age of chaos, the young warrior Uhtred has gradually become a legendary hero. His parents (Saxon aristocrats) were killed by Vikings, and he was kidnapped by marauders and raised by them as their own children. He was forced to choose between the country where he was born and the relatives who raised him, and his loyalty was tested again and again. To regain his birthright, Uhtred embarked on a dangerous path. He wandered between the opposing sides and played a key role in the birth of a new country.
