The League of Gentlemen is an English black comedy series produced by BBC in 1999. The story takes place in Royce Town, a small town based on Alston in Cumbria County in the north of England. This town is home to very grotesque residents, all of whom are characters by screenwriters Mark Gattis, Steve Pemberton, Jeremy Desang and Reese Shirley Smith. Four screenwriters formed a comedy group in the name of Gentlemen's League in 1995. Have not heard of this play Children's shoes must have heard of the other two British dramas "Mad City" and "Secret No. 9" recommended by the official accounts of the major media. If you can't stop with these two shows, you can't miss the Gentlemen's League. Because the Gentlemen's League can be said to be an embryonic version of "Mad City" and "Secret matter No. 9", which is a little less dark and more humorous, who says their writers are both Steve Pemberton and Reece ShearSmith.
