The.Lost.Hokusai.2017) Ke Beizhai (1760-1849) was a floating painter in the Edo period in Japan, and his masterpiece "Fuyue 36", of which Red Fuji and Kanagawa are the most famous. The nearly three-meter-wide "Picture of Suzuo's male Life and God's withdrawal" is the last work of Beizhai. It was destroyed by fire during the Kanto earthquake in 1923, leaving only black-and-white photos. This film tells the story of Japanese craftsmen using traditional techniques and the latest technology to restore paintings.
