The story takes place in southern China in the 20th century. Li Yun (Shen Lizi), an overseas Chinese from Nanyang, has just lost her father. In great grief, she returns to her hometown to fulfill her father's last wish-to take her sister Hua Qing (Qu Yan) to Nanyang. Live together. Li Yun's mother passed away when she was very young.
