The Making of a Dream (2017)

From the young students of amateur dance schools to the few leading dancers of large ballet companies in the world, they began to sweat for the dazzling moment of the future from an early age. Daniela Ambrosoli, a filmmaker who died because of his injury, recorded the stories of these young people who risked everything to become ballet stars. Director Daniela Ambrosoli is best known for her lifelong passion for dancing, taking us to the most influential dance academies in Europe and the United States (ABT in New York, the Boston Ballet School and Tanz in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Zurich), documenting the daily training of young dancers and interviewing legendary dancer Luciana Savignano and actress Sabine Timoteo. We are witnessing the dreams of these young people, some of whom decided at the age of four or five that ballet would be their career. John Lam, a refugee from Vietnam, took his first dance class at San Francisco Nursing School and is now the Boston Ballet.
