The Nightingale (2018)

The film won the Venice Film Festival jury Special Award and Outstanding Actor Award. Claire, a 21-year-old Irish prisoner in Tasmania in the 1920s, was sentenced to seven years in prison. She was eager to get rid of her abusive master, Lieutenant Hawkins, who refused to release Claire. Claire's husband, Aidan, retaliated, and the lieutenant and his close friends committed terrible crimes against her. Unable to get a fair trial from the British authorities, Clare decided to hunt down Hawkins, but Hawkins suddenly left his post to get a captain in the north. She had to turn to Billy, a young aboriginal hunter, who reluctantly led her through the rugged wilderness to find Hawkins.
