The Notebook (2013)

In a city occupied by foreign troops, due to food shortages and people's hardship, a young woman had to take her twin sons to her mother living in the countryside. This "grandmother" is not only illiterate, dirty, stingy, ferocious, and even a murderer. The two brothers grew up in a difficult environment, and in order to make themselves strong, they practiced their survival skills by beating and scolding each other, fasting and other ways every day. They carefully recorded what happened every day in a big notebook. As the pages of the diary were opened, a cold dreamy fable gradually emerged.
