The story looks back on the life of his father, Song Hanmo (Song Kanghao), a barber shop chef, from the perspective of a child. Hammer does not have much knowledge. He is nicknamed "tofu". He makes a living by cutting hair and getting married with his female apprentice (Wen Suli) when he was young. Hammer's barber shop is near the presidential residence in Blue House, so he has also witnessed many historical events of the presidential transition in South Korea. On the day of the April 19 Revolution in South Korea, Hammer's son was born and named Le'an. By chance, Hammer met the head of the South Korean Central Intelligence Agency (Sun Binghao), and he recommended Song to be the barber of the president (Zhao Yong Jin). Over the next 12 years, Hammer had the opportunity to serve with the president and was lucky enough to accompany him on a trip to the United States. However, due to the involvement of a Marcus fever, Hammer's son was taken away by Secret Service officials, and the child's legs were disabled by torture. In order to treat the child, Hammer asked everywhere to find a way, but repeatedly hit a brick wall, and finally he embarked on the road of seeking medicine with the child on his back.
