General Frank (Eddard Harris Ed Harris) of the US Marine Corps, dissatisfied with the government's compensation and welfare for retired and dead soldiers and their families, led his subordinates to smuggle the US military's newly developed chemical and biological weapon, the VX gas bomb, to Roque Island, hijacked 81 tourists who were sightseeing on the island, and took control of the island. Blackmail the US government to pay a ransom of 100 million yuan within 48 hours or it will kill the hostages and attack San Francisco with gas bombs. Rock Island used to be the most heavily guarded prison in the United States, easy to defend and difficult to attack. The US government accidentally found that former British agent Mason (Sean Connery Sean Connery) had escaped from the prison, so they hired Mason and asked him to lead special forces to capture the "devil's island" within 30 hours.
