The Silence (1998)

In a small town in Iran, there is a 10-year-old boy who lives with his mother. The only difference between him and ordinary children is that he is blind, but God has given him excellent hearing. So his job is to be a tuner in the musical instrument industry and to create his own music. Every day, he takes a bus to a workshop that produces musical instruments, shuttles through the noise of the city and feels the world with his ears. Strictly speaking, the film does not give any story, but with an impressive composition to explore the relationship between human beings and sound, so that the audience quietly to experience, to feel. Silent Sound of Nature was invited to participate in the 1998 Venice International Film Festival and won three awards, including quot; Special attention & quot;, and was praised by film critic Harlan Kennedy as the best film in the festival.
