Harry (Gregory Parker Gregory Peck) is a writer who is now recovering from his uncle's riddle at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro with his new wife Helen (Susan Hayward Susan Hayward) taking good care of him. Harry was tormented by illness and fell into hallucinations all day long, remembering his life. When he was young, he was determined to become a writer, and his uncle told him that a writer should have perseverance and go through a long period of conviction. While Harry just settled in Paris with his newly married wife Cynthia (Ava Gardner Ava Gardner), he did not stay at home when he was young and went out looking for writing information.
