The Songs We Sang (2015)

Singapore's first documentary on campus ballads narrates how overseas Chinese wrote their own songs in aphasia after the closure of Chinese schools in Singapore. The documentary collects valuable archival materials, traces the poetry and music of the 1970s and 1980s (songs created by young Singaporeans) with a pleasant song, and relives the short but beautiful music chapter, as well as the process from the edge to the mainstream and into history.
