The Third Man (1949)
After World War II, American writer Martin (Joseph Cotton Joseph Cotten) works in Vienna at the invitation of his good friend Harry (Orson Wells Orson Welles). Unexpectedly, as soon as he arrives at his destination, there comes the news that Harry died in a car accident. At Harry's funeral, Martin met the local officer Calloway, who impolitely asked him to leave Vienna immediately. Martin ignored it and decided to stay and find out the truth about his friend's death. Martin finds Harry's girlfriend Miss Scott (Arida Valle Alida Valli) to investigate the truth of the incident. As the investigation deepened, they found that the inside story became more complicated and confusing, first their landlord was killed, then Martin himself found out that he was being followed, and he found out that a third person was present at the time of Harry's death. Therefore, the key to everything is to find this mysterious third person.
