Democratic leader Butler (Martin Sheen Martin Sheen) won the US presidential election and became the new president of the United States to enter the White House. Butler's presidency began, and his campaign began a political career in the White House. The seasoned chief of staff Leo (John Spencer John Spencer) is the president's closest senior staff responsible for providing President Butler with the most critical political advice, and the brilliant Deputy Chief of staff Josie (Bradley Whitford Bradley Whitford) is Leo's second-in-command. The media publicist CJ (Alison Jenny Allison Janney), who used to dominate Beverly Hills, brings her calm and venomous tongue to President Butler's press room. Toby (Richard Schiff Richard Schiff) and Sam (Rob Law Rob Lowe) are in charge of the president's speech. Political newcomer Donna (Jane Murray Janel Moloney) and black guy Charlie (Duller Hill Dulle Hill) are also rolling.
