The World Unseen (2007)
South Africa in the 1950s was the period of apartheid. The film tells the special affection between the woman Miriam (Lisa Lei Lisa Ray) and the woman Alami (Sidoses Sheetal Sheth) in such a special era. Miriam was not happy in her marriage. When she found that her husband was having an affair with his sister-in-law, she had to put up with it. Until Alami, dressed as a cowboy, appeared in her repressed life, two beautiful women fell in love at first sight. Alami, with a rebellious spirit, is a staunch opponent of apartheid, which is what attracts Miriam. The subtle and delicate emotion between the two women is in every frivolity of her fingertips and every gaze in her eyes. They transcend not only the barrier of gender, but also the barrier of race. The film was adapted by director Shamim Salver based on his own novel of the same name.
