The story begins in 1938, the second World War is about to break out, and the whole world is in a state of tension. Kristan (Marlon Brando Marlon Brando) is a warm-blooded young man with lofty ideals and ambitions who firmly believes that the Nazi spirit is the only belief that leads people to the right path. In this way, he resolutely joined the German side and went to war. American youth Mike (Dean Martin Dean Martin) never cares about politics and is immersed in all the lights and money all day long, while Noah (Montgomery Clift Montgomery Clift) is a kind-hearted Jewish youth, and the war makes these two people with very different personalities meet.
