Retired Judge Justin Prefield (George C. Scott) has recently been delusional, thinking of himself as Sherlock Holmes and trying to find his mortal enemy, Professor Moriarty. Justin's brother tried to put Justin in an insane asylum in order to embezzle his brother's property. Psychiatrist Mildred (Joana Woodward) was very interested in Justin's case and wanted to cure him. But Justin, who firmly believed that he was not sick, did not cooperate with her treatment in every way. However, when he learned that Mildred's surname was Watson, he regarded her as his assistant, Dr. Watson. She was asked to join her in the search for Moriarty. -- Youshan stardust
