The story takes place on a reform-through-labor farm in Mississippi. The murderer Bowles (Keith Carradine Keith Carradine) works with a bunch of outlaws he met in prison to escape from prison. Fortune favors them. After the successful escape, Bowles and his party come to their relatives' house to hide from the limelight. There, Bowles met a woman named Guoche (Shirley Duvall Shelley Duvall), whose gentleness and kindness made Bowles fall in love at first sight, but can Bowles, who is now a fugitive, be able to get his beauty home as he wishes? After the escape, Bowles and his brothers did not want to be lonely and robbed several times, and the "harvest" was reasonable, which made several big men relax their guard.
