A series of mysterious killings occurred on the Sioux Indian reservation, and the FBI sent Ray Gang, who was one-quarter Sioux, to the area to investigate. At first, Lei Gang was unable to integrate into the local culture, but over time, he developed a sense of identity with his own culture, and his inner consciousness of being a Sioux gradually awakened. Due to this change in cultural identity, Lei Gang was finally accepted by his people. Just as Lei Gang gradually became integrated with his people, his status as a federal investigator made him feel embarrassed between responsibility and belonging.
