Torchwood (2006 - 2012)
On October 22nd, BBC launched a new sci-fi series Torchwood, a spin-off of Doctor Who, the British longevity sci-fi king. The noun Torchwood is actually a word formed by reversing the alphabetical order of Doctor Who. Torchwood appeared several times in "Doctor Who 2005". For example, in "Doctor Who 2005" 2x02, Queen Victoria met the Doctor and Rose in 1879 and saw the existence of extraterrestrials. Finally, she exiled the Doctor and Rose and decided to set up a Torchwood Institute (the Torchwood Institute) that specializes in studying and dealing with aliens like the "Man in Black". The last weapon in 2x00 to destroy the alien ship is one of the research achievements of the Torchwood Research Institute, while 2x12 introduces the modern Torchwood Research Institute. "Torchwood" mainly tells the adventures of a group of investigators who use alien science.
