Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges Jeff Bridges) is a talented programmer, but a game software once developed was stolen by his former colleagues. in order to prove that it was his own work, Kevin tried to enter the former colleague's company's main control program MCP, only to find that it was strong enough to control other programs at will. Kevin turns to his colleague Allen (Bruce Barlinner Bruce Boxleitner), who designs a program to clamp MCP, Tron, and doesn't want MCP to detect Kevin's movements, suck him into the program space and turn him into a controlled Mini Program. In MCP space, Kevin needs not only to save his life, but also to find a way to get back to reality. The Battle of the Electronic World is the first cyberspace film in history.
