Jamie's mother died early. From an early age, she lacked the warmth of her family and was not valued by society. She was a very stubborn and wayward black girl. She had a good friend Lian, and the two were always inseparable and hanging around. Nothing to do, just play pranks. Social worker Lindsay volunteered to look after and supervise the rebellious teenagers at risk, so she met Jamie and Lian.
