In 1944, World War II was in full swing and the war situation was full of twists and turns. Nazi Germany attacked in all directions, but the German offensive was exhausted under the counter-attack of the allies. At this moment, some senior German officers realize that the balance of war has tilted, and Hitler (David Bamber)'s war strategy will lead Germany to its demise. More and more military officers believe that Germany can be finally saved only by getting rid of Hitler and his supporters, seizing power in a coup and reaching an agreement with the allies through peace talks. Under the influence of this idea, a plan called "Valkyrie" came into being. Colonel Klaus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise Tom Cruise) plays an important role in the whole plan. Born of aristocracy, Stauffenberg once fell in love with Hitler and his Nazi platform. In 1943, he led the armored division to the battlefield in Tunis, North Africa, where he lost his right arm, two fingers of his left hand and his right eye. The cruelty of the war changed his mind greatly. after returning to Germany, he said goodbye to his wife and children and, together with senior officers of the assassination organization, began to plan the dangerous task of murdering the supreme head of state Hitler.
