In a series of incidents near Decheng Chinese High School in Kuala Lumpur, Chen Chen, 17, the son of a high school student of single mother Liu Mei, 36, was listed as the top suspect in the murder of classmate Gangzi, 17, and his whereabouts are unknown. Gu Yufen, the mother of the victim Gangzi (more than 40 years old), was in a trance in the face of her son's sudden death and her life was at an impasse. As the victim's mother, Gu Yufen became the object of everyone's sympathy, while as the murderer's mother, Liu Mei became the target of public criticism. However, things are not as simple as they seem. Under the pressure of today's "surveillance society", the two mothers who stumbled upon the other side of their sons have to face not only the pain of losing their children, but also many unexpected choices. What the eye sees is the truth, but not necessarily the truth.
