In 1952, Soviet Russia had not lost the shadow of war. Sanya, 6, and his mother, Kajia, came across a personable soldier, Toyang, on a train, so Sonya had a father again. Kaja enjoyed the sweetness of marriage, and little Sanya seemed to accept her violent stepfather. But one day they found out that Tuo Yang was actually a habitual thief under the cover of a soldier. Tuo Yang always runs around with them, and after getting acquainted in one place, he creates opportunities to ransack his neighbor's house, and then look for new targets. Later, Tuoyang was sent to prison for theft, and in the only chance to visit, Xiao Sanya chased the prison van in the heavy snow and shouted to his father.
